Rooted in Entebbe, not passing through.
We are not a Kampala-based company that adds Entebbe as an afterthought. This peninsula is our home — its history, its people, its stories. No one knows it like we do.
A Ugandan-born company rooted in Entebbe, dedicated to journeys that leave our guests forever changed — through water, land, and air.
LALA Expeditions began with a simple conviction: that the stories of Entebbe deserve the same care the world gives to its great wonders. Here is how we came to be.
The first Catholic missionaries land at Kigungu, on the shores of Lake Victoria. It is the moment the story we tell today truly begins — a peninsula that would become the spiritual and political crossroads of a nation.
George "Bush" Ochieng begins years of fieldwork — interviewing elders, walking shorelines, and tracing archives — to write what would become Ancient Entebbe. The research is exhaustive. The vision is simple: give this peninsula the story it deserves.
What began as a book becomes a company. LALA Expeditions launches with a small team of Ugandan guides and a singular promise: to tell the stories of Entebbe with depth, warmth, and craft — never as a checklist, always as a narrative.
Today we offer curated journeys across all of Uganda — from gorilla trekking and mountain expeditions to food tours, cultural immersions, and everything in between. The peninsula will always be our home. The story is only getting bigger.
"We do not sell tours. We invite people into a story that has been unfolding for millions of years."
These are not slogans on a wall. They are the compass by which we make every decision — from the partners we choose, to the guides we hire, to the way we tell each story.
To craft immersive, story-driven journeys that reveal the depth, beauty, and complexity of Uganda — connecting travellers not just to places, but to the people, histories, and cultures that shaped them.
A future where Uganda is recognised not just for its wildlife, but for its stories — where travellers arrive curious and leave as advocates, and where the communities that carry these stories are the ones who benefit most.
There are many tour companies in Uganda. Here is what makes a LALA journey fundamentally different.
We are not a Kampala-based company that adds Entebbe as an afterthought. This peninsula is our home — its history, its people, its stories. No one knows it like we do.
Every guide on our team was born and raised here. We believe stories should be told by the people who carry them.
We don't rush you from photo-op to photo-op. Every stop is a chapter — and every chapter is worth pausing for.
We cap our group sizes so every guest has room to ask, to wonder, and to experience the journey at a human pace. No megaphones. No rushing.
A meaningful share of every booking goes directly to the communities whose land, food, and stories make our tours possible.
Ready to go further — gorillas, mountains, the Nile? We plan it all. One company, one story, one continuous journey.
Solo traveller, family, corporate group, or documentary crew — we have a service tailored for you.
We are always looking for thoughtful, curious people who believe tourism can be a force for good. If that sounds like you — we want to hear from you.
Lead immersive walking and boat tours across Entebbe. You will be a storyteller as much as a guide — comfortable weaving history, ecology, and culture into one seamless narrative. Fluency in English is required; Luganda and additional languages are a strong plus.
